August 24, 2011 - Valley View Farm's Triumvirate is heading to Santa Anita to train with Kristin Mulhall! We will keep everyone informed about when he will be running in his first race.
VALLEY VIEW FARM IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THEIR NEW TRAINER, ALEX NYLAND! Alex Nyland’s knowledge, skills and prowess have allowed her to guide green and seasoned horses alike to win competitions across the United States. She began riding when she was 4 years old in New Mexico, where she joined the Pony Club. Her natural ability enabled her to swiftly rise to the point that, by age 7, she was riding on the Champion team for their club. Alex later moved on to pony hunters in CO, and rode her pony to become the zone 8 champion two years in a row. She was also in the top ten riders of the 12 and under equitation. That soon led her to do Jr hunters and begin competing in the dressage arena. During the summer months she would travel to CA where she worked at a breeding facility in Sacramento. While there, she would work with everything from the youngest babies still at their mom’s side to the hardened stallions preparing for approvals; several of the babies she helped to train have gone on to show and place in dressage and show jumping across the country. After high school Alex spent a year in Montana working with western trainers and show judges learning the culture of the western tradition. She then returned to CO where she qualified for the dressage young rider’s team. In 2002 she decided to return to the show jumping world, and went on to win many accolades including Champion Tucson Hits and Champion Grand National Rodeo A/O Jumpers. She also earned top placing in NorCal year end awards and top 10 riders for USEF zone 10. Alex Nyland has shown across the United States and worked with many renowned trainers including George Morris, Rudy Leone, Hope and Ned Glynn, Paul Rohrbach, Eddie Macken and Harley Brown.
Alex is wonderful with both children and adults and we're delighted to have her with us.
Valley View Farm is proud to announce the birth of BIG SIR (Sir Oldenburg x Jet Set Bride) on February 2nd, 2011. We are very happy with this fancy colt and look forward to watching him grow into a great show horse!!
